The 4th European Paper Bag Day was celebrated all over Europe on October 18, 2021!
The Secretary General of CEPI Eurokraft, Elin Gordon, is overwhelmed of all actions initiated by both members and the public around the day. “This year’s events and activities focused on different aspects of how paper bags contribute to a sustainable future. As a great example, one of our members invited their local authorities to a guided tour of a nearby forest where strategies to conserve forests were demonstrated. Afterwards they donated paper bags to be shared between local shops and distributors.”

“The Paper Bag” has produced a short video animation that takes up the topic of this year’s European Paper Bag Day and explains why paper carrier bags are a good choice for consumers and retailers who want to show their commitment towards the environment. It starts with the fibres and ends by closing the loop.
CEPI Eurokraft and EUROSAC steers the platform “The Paper Bag”. It was founded in 2017 by the leading European kraft paper manufacturers and producers of paper bags. They dedicate themselves to promoting the advantages of paper packaging. For more information on “The Paper Bag”, please visit the website: http://www.thepaperbag.org
